Payroll Officer

Due to the rapid expansion and projects awarded, Ferrycarrig seeks the services of an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join their growing team. This exciting full-time opportunity (Monday through to Friday) offers a chance to work within a terrific team that prides itself on being great with people and great for people.
**Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to**:

- End to end payroll processing
- Create and maintain employee master-files
- Collation and accurate extension of timesheets
- Accurate processing of timesheets
- Process accurate deductions from employees' wages and salaries
- Calculate and process end of month payroll journals
- General ledger reconciliations (payroll accounts)
- Bank account reconciliations
- Solid experience in a similar role
- A sound understanding of payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and Work Cover
- Extensive knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
- Ability to work independently
- Well developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and achieve results under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
