Project Officer, Energy Programs

The Project Officer, Energy Programs will be an integral part of the Sustainability Unit and support delivery of the state-wide $40 million energy efficiency and solar program in public hospitals. The role plays a key part in maximising the public health system's contribution to the Government's commitment to be net zero carbon by 2050 through ensuring the energy efficiency of existing health infrastructure. The role will be exposed to a wide range of sustainability issues and provide the practical building blocks to a career in sustainability.

**Accountabilities**:

- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including; assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs, supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met, utilising data to target investment in energy efficiency and solar, and supporting the procurement of private sector suppliers to assist with delivery of the energy efficiency and solar program.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships across the department and the wider sector to build a partnership approach, including preparation of communication materials and agendas, organise meetings, drafting meeting summaries and facilitating follow-up action.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
