Join Shell Energy's New Growth & Delivery team as a
Senior Energy Engineer
and play a key role in driving Australia's clean energy transition.
In this hands-on, senior role, you'll deliver innovative energy projects across a diverse mix of technologies from white paper certificate initiatives to large-scale consultancy work. You'll work closely with industry leaders to scope, manage, and deliver technical solutions that help commercial and industrial customers reach their sustainability goals, while mentoring the next generation of engineers within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:
- Lead the delivery of
white paper certificate projects
from concept to completion managing budgets, quality, timelines, and client reporting. - Provide
technical expertise and guidance
across energy transition initiatives, including emissions reduction planning, renewable energy, and energy storage solutions. - Build strong
client relationships
through effective communication, presentations, and site visits, ensuring exceptional project outcomes. - Support the
development and continuous improvement
of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance project delivery. - Collaborate with the wider Engineering and Sales teams to
optimise product development
and strengthen Shell Energy's market-leading position. - Mentor and peer-review the work of other engineers, fostering a culture of
technical excellence and innovation
within the team.
Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role:
- Proven success in the
technical and financial delivery of projects
within a consulting or commercial environment. - Strong understanding of
energy use, emissions reduction, and renewable technologies
in the Australian market. - Exceptional
project management, data analysis, and client relationship
skills, with a knack for translating technical detail into clear insights. - High level of
initiative, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
, both written and verbal. - A collaborative, proactive approach thriving in a
team that values innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
. - Degree-qualified in
engineering, science, or a related discipline
, with at least
five years' experience in the energy industry
