**About the Role**
The Clairfield Hotel in Mudgee is seeking a dedicated and experienced **Hotel Service Manager** to lead and oversee all **room division operations**, with a primary focus on **front office management, guest services, and housekeeping coordination**. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the hotel’s guest-facing operations while upholding our high standards of service and hospitality.
As a key leader within the hotel team, you will work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for managing front office procedures, reservations, guest arrivals and departures, room inventory, and housekeeping liaison. You will also supervise and develop a diverse team, maintain strong relationships with guests and service partners, and contribute to overall operational success.
This is a hands-on, service-driven leadership position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee **daily front office operations**, including reception, guest check-ins/outs, reservations, and room allocations.
- Supervise the **rooms division**, ensuring effective communication and coordination between front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Support the General Manager in operational planning and execution.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, and revenue opportunities.
- Ensure seamless and welcoming guest experiences by setting and maintaining service standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and urgency.
- Coach and develop front office and rooms division staff, creating a positive and efficient team culture.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of department performance.
- Maintain compliance with all OH&S standards and hotel policies.
- Liaise with external service providers to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.

You are a confident and capable hospitality professional with a deep understanding of front office operations and room division management. **Essential Requirements**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel management or a senior front office/room division leadership role.
- Strong expertise in front office systems, reservations, and guest service delivery.
- Solid understanding of housekeeping operations and interdepartmental coordination.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire front-facing teams.
- Skilled in handling guest concerns and resolving issues effectively.
- High personal presentation and grooming standards.
- Familiarity with OH&S requirements and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
**Additional Information**
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
