The purpose of this role is to effectively manage and resolve dispute matters on workers compensation claims along with identifying and supporting improvements in our technical competence and evidence-based decision-making process across the business. This position will require a high degree of collaboration with a wide range of team members to ensure the highest levels of technical competence and service is achieved and maintained.
This will be a **permanent** position commencing **immediately **based in the **Adelaide** office, with flexibility to work from home.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Proactively resolving matters and work collaboratively with other claims team members to make this happen
- Participating in meetings to review workers compensation claim disputes and provide progress updates
- Ensuring instructions to our Legal Panel are provided in a timely manner
- Developing effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Representing EML at the South Australian Employment Tribunal
- Establishing effective mechanisms for providing technical feedback (including at an individual and team level), updates and learnings
**ABOUT YOU**
- Inquisitive and always looking for effective ways to solve problems
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and the confidence to speak in front of groups
- The skills to influence and negotiate
- The ability to collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience within a legal environment is desired but not essential
Whilst an understanding of workers compensation legislation and previous dispute or mediation experience is advantageous, it's not essential - we’ll support and teach you all you need to know
