Skilled Payroll Officer required to start on January 3rd for a highly regarded organisation in Melbourne's west. Position leading to permanency.

**The Role**

Interviews will take place before Christmas or early January.

Typical day to day duties will involve:

- Supporting with end to end, fortnightly payroll processing for up to 250 staff
- Responsibility for superannuation, payroll tax and payroll reporting
- Dealing with complex payroll queries
- Award/EBA interpretation
- Posting to general ledger
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts
- Ownership of Workcover related reporting and reconciliations
- Overseeing processes around new hires, terminations and adjustments
- Continually searching for ways to improve processes and procedures
- Corporate credit card management across the organisation
- FBT and other ad hoc payroll related reporting

This is a true end to end position which allows the successful applicant to take ownership of the payroll function. There will not be any staff management within the position.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Payroll with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- End to end payroll experience within a similar sized organisation
- Ability to suggest improvements to processes, systems and procedures
- Comfortable reaching Melbourne's west at least part of the week
- Ambitious and happy in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with a large-scale payroll system (Chris 21, ADP, SAP etc)
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in a stand-alone payroll position
- Stable career history
