As a project officer you will be responsible for organising and conducting administrative documentation audits and supporting the team to conduct its audit programs to assure the integrity and reliability of the building system and building practitioners in Victoria. The position measures and monitors the quality and compliance of building practitioner work in Victoria relating to adherence with the Building Act, Regulations and National Construction Code.
The role will proactively identify systemic risks and make recommendations for active intervention measures to strengthen the regulatory system and support the VBA's effectiveness as a contemporary Regulator.
What we are looking for?
- Experience in working within a legislative or regulatory environment and understanding of the workings of Government administrative processes are highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organise complex and detailed information logically using clear and concise language
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive relationships with the ability to understand requirements, build commitment to adoption and enable collaborative delivery of outcomes and ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team
- Experience in ISO 9000 would be highly regarded.
- Experience and understanding of the Building Industry is highly desirable.
