Field Operations Specialist

Within Australia & New Zealand, Beam has shared e-scooter and e-bike operations across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, and in Auckland, Wellington, Whangarei, Whanganui and Palmerston North.

Duties
- Support the Field Operations Associate in day to day operations across our southeast QLD markets.
- Ensure field operations performs at peak efficiency
- Onboard and train new casual hires.
- Support our operations across South East Queensland through:

- Ensuring Beam is operating within the operating conditions given to us by respective councils and partners.
- Tracking and investigating alerts for theft and accidents. Submitting batch police reports and retrieving lost vehicles
- Coordinating vehicle redeployments by our field teams, reviewing deployments for compliance
- Assisting in creating a deployment strategy.
- Evaluate and provide feedback to the operations team on the current and potential parking locations.
- Set the weekly roster for marshals.
- Coordinating the retrieval of scooters on private land prior to police involvement
- Recommending improvements and innovating on process and procedural change
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all internal safety standards and operating procedures in line with our QSEMS (Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System)
- Take initiative and ownership to identify and solve problems when they arise.
- Ensure all internal processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Ability to be resilient, assertive, optimistic and open to change.
- Assist in busy periods and are available to work weekends where required. Willingness to travel to our operational sites in Southeast QLD.

**Requirements**:
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience managing a team and are able provide clear direction
- You are proactive and bring a hands-on attitude with a natural drive to seek out continuous improvement.
- Smartphone proficient - used with all our e-scooters and e-bikes.
- High attention to detail.
- Articulate and bring exceptional organisational skills.
- Growth mindset & willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work through problems under pressure and find a resolution.
- Physically fit to lift e-scooters (up to 32kg) and e-bikes (up to 42kg).
- Strong Excel skills or SQL Knowledge is a bonus.
- Previous experience in micromobility operations is a bonus and a willingness to get your hands dirty in the first few weeks and learn how to marshal and repair broken vehicles.
- University education (graduate or students) in Commerce, Engineering or similar will be highly regarded but not essential.
