Production Lead

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Production Lead.

The Production Lead provides overall management of the Project Management Team and booking schedule, ensuring the success of the company’s and clients’ projects. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards and tools; improving project management processes.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Project Management Leadership:_
- Oversee the coordination and allocation of staff and resources to successfully complete projects
- Serve as primary Project Management support assisting Project Managers to deliver successful project implementation and results
- Communicate with the Leadership Team on successes, issues and lessons on project completion and implementation of new processes.
- Oversee and provide leadership to our top tier clients
- Project Management Implementation:_
- Coordinate with the Senior Project Managers to create processes and systems to ensure effective project management and implementation across the business
- Guide efficient and effective project start-up and close-down procedures
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with senior clients and decision makers.
- Facilitate project management peer review for project documentation.
- Client Relationships:_
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with our top tier clients.
- Provide strategic guidance on how the project teams work together.
- Escalation point for project team and client to resolve project management issues in relation to scope, timelines and budgets.
- Project Reporting and Monitoring:_
- Establish tools and systems to track project progress
- Track project annual budgets and forecasts while working with Project Managers to review variances, proposing and making adjustments as required
- Review project reports to ensure strong monthly / quarterly / annual financial oversight.
- Staff Management, Professional Development and Team Building:_
- Create a work atmosphere that promotes the development and professional growth of Project Management Team members at all levels
- Promote accountability by conducting annual performance reviews with direct reports and ensuring that all staff members are effectively using the performance planning and management system
- Create training and learning opportunities to promote project management best practice
- Positively contribute to the overall company culture
- Support, guide and motivate peers
- Assist with onboarding and training new staff in processes & tools such as JIRA and Productive

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Scrum Master, and/or Senior Producer roles for 6+ years in a software development or digital agency
- Comprehensive understanding of the project management life cycle and a sound knowledge of contemporary business and project management practices
- Strong experience using project management systems such as JIRA, Productive, SmartSheets, Slack
- Proven track record in building and fostering strong working relationships with Senior Management, clients and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of Project Managers and build a cohesive team
- Demonstrated experience in financial/budget management reporting
- Demonstrated leadership, ethics and sound judgement, both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent computing proficiency especially Microsoft Office, Google Docs
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
