**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Platform (Cloud) Technical Lead is an advanced engineering role involved in highly complex environments for installation, configuration and fault management. They provide technical support to clients. This includes remotely supporting clients within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to install and configure software and hardware, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis and adhere to any related processes such as change management.
This role is also required to provide technical leadership to the team supporting client installations.
**What you'll be doing**
**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Interact with clients on site to meet more complex requirements of a solution.
- Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.
- Delegates lower complexity tasks to engineers and technicians.
- Assume responsibility for the co-ordination of the activities of the engineers, in line with performance targets, leading by example and monitoring the quality of engineer's and technician's work when required.
- Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.
- Act as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
- Included in complex design work, with input to the design expected.
- Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.
- Maintaining and developing Infrastructure as Code for a range of different systems.
- Performance Tuning.
- Working in a diverse team across a wide range of different technologies and systems.
- Automating processes and building self service capabilities.
- Delivering and building services and technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.
- Leading and co-ordinating cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources - both internal and external.
- Periodically collaborating to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Leveraging experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency’s cloud services. ITQSB certification highly desirable.
- Maintaining skills and contemporary practice in the applicable technology stack.

- Mandatory Skills / experience:_
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of Cloud Implementations, preferably Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.
- ElasticSearch experience.
- Experience creating & maintaining automated deployments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Ansible and ARM).
- Previous team lead experience
- Ability to work full time from client premises in Canberra.
- Desirable Skills / Experience_
- Knowledge of the products in some of the following technology stack:
- HBase/HDFS (HDInsight), Neo4j, Kafka, NiFi, Kibana, Logstash, GraphQL, Redis, WSO2 Identity Server (or similar), WSO2 API Manager (or similar), PostgreSQL (or similar), React (or similar), Java springboot. Azure big data services, Azure AD/ADFS, Azure API Manager, Azure CosmosDB.
**Academic Qualifications and Certifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology Degree or equivalent together with specialized training in new technologies and legacy systems or equivalent.
