About the Role
Key responsibilities
Proofread decision documents to ensure consistency in document formatting and correct legal citations.
Undertake the preliminary review of documents related to external review matters and prepare correspondence as required.
Undertake legal and general research tasks as directed, including drafting correspondence and locating relevant legislation, case law and commentary to assist in the conduct of external reviews.
Conduct legal research required by review officers and prepare summaries of research results.
Assist the RTI group to maintain currency in Knowledge Management by monitoring and documenting changes to case law decisions and notifying the group of these changes in an appropriate and timely manner.
Monitor and assess the RTI group's correspondence and other communications, including updating electronic case management and document management systems and alerting the relevant officer of any outstanding matters.
Engage with review applicants as required including about the progress of their matter.
Contribute to the identification, development and maintenance of OIC resources that support effective Knowledge Management within the RTI group.
Support the RTI group with reporting, data entry, and analysis related to reviews with high attention to detail, as required.For a full list of responsibilities, please refer to the attached role description.
