**The Role**

Our Mining Wear Parts team is expanding and are seeking an high experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Mining Services Operation at our Brisbane branch.

Mechanical Draftsperson will be responsible for performing Drafting and the collection of Engineering Information which will involve the creation of drawings, by engineering and reverse engineering, operating Scanners and measuring tool on and offsite.

This position will report directly the Engineering Manager. You will be the key driver interacting with Engineering stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and regular clients.

**Key deliverables**:

- Create AutoCAD drawings using inventor
- Reverse engineer components using available measuring equipment including scanners and manual tooling
- Onsite engineering and workshop engineering maybe required
- Perform QC checking on parts or components as required
- Assist with identifying better ways to do things to achieve better engineered products and to always do things safely.
- Some traveling will be required to perform duties as is needed
- Following strict drafting systems and protocols as provided
- Be involved in the development and designing of parts, machines, structures, chutes, liners, Mn, and items as your skills will allow you to work on jobs.

**What you’ll bring to the team**:

- Minimum of 2 Years proven working experience in an engineering environment in the Mining, Quarrying and Recycling Industries
- A strong background around mining equipment. Drafting, reverse engineering, scanner equipment, autocad
- Experience with mining related products and services is essential
- Experience in engineering and designing mining equipment
- Stong Eye for detail around safety and a desire for all to be safe always
- Excellent organisational skills. Must be able to prioritise to ensure their super efficient whilst planning engineering projects
- Excellent organisational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are necessary
- Current car drivers license
