Our client is a well-established and successful engineering consultancy based in heart of Brisbane CBD,

They have been trading for almost 10 years and have benefited from year-on-year growth and continued success. Specialising in Mechanical, Structural and Electrical projects in the mining and bulk export industries.

Our client provides the experience of working in similar projects as Tier 1 engineering firms, but without all the headaches involved with the partners having over 25 years’ experience in Tier 1 firms.

**Your new role**

We are looking for structural draftspersons at all levels of experience to start or continue their development in their career, Our Client specialises in Mining, Hard Rock and Bulk Export projects.

The daily tasks for the role are:

- Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Revise and update drawings as necessary, incorporating feedback and changes from project stakeholders.
- Perform quality checks to guarantee the integrity of final designs and minimise errors.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of drawings and associated documentation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- AutoCAD Experience Essential
- Inventor Experience Essential
- MicroStation Experience Well Regarded
- Completed OR Enroled in Advanced Diploma of Engineering, Cert IV Drafting, or equivalent

**The following skills are desirable**
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Problem-solving
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate clearly, to manage and meet set deadlines
- Willingness to attend site visits, communicating with clients, as well as a working contribution to improve CAD systems as technology evolves
- Self-development attitude and keenness to learn.
- High level of accuracy with attention to detail and quality control
- Some coding skills would be well regarded
