Fabrication capacity and experience covers fabrication and maintenance of plate-work, plant modifications, structures, piping, fitting and machining. **_ The Role_**

As the design and detail draftsperson, you will be responsible for:

- Scheduling and managing workflow and interfacing with site and workshop stakeholders
- Completing drafting and technical drawings
- Engaging with engineers for technical reviews, certification and guidance
- Converting 3D laser scan to fabrication drawings
- Preparation and delivery of engineering drawings for allocated resources projects
- Preparation of shop layouts
- Attending site for measurements, verification and scoping, including use of 3D laser scanning equipment
- Creating concept drawings
- Completing material take-offs and preparing cutting lists
- Reviewing standards and best practices
- Engaging and managing sub-contract detailers on larger projects.
- Drawing document control and procedures
- Working with Estimators to review tender Engineering drawing details
- Ability to problem solve (site and/or workshop queries)
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as an Associate Degree or Diploma
- Skilled in drafting of mechanical and structural components.
- Experience in creating and administrating drawing office procedures and systems.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, Vault, Advanced Steel and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interface with customers and manage time frames and team delivery.
- Experience working in a similar position, servicing the maintenance/brownfields upgrade projects for the mining sector
- Experience with workshop manufacturing of structural and mechanical steel work, along with site assembly.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and draft engineering drawings in CAD to AS1100
- Strong ability to manage time to achieve tight deadlines
- Well-developed communication skills
- Some procurement and / or QA experience desirable.
