Blaxcell Street Public School is situated in the Western Sydney suburb of Granville and offers a rich and robust curriculum within a supportive and caring environment. With an enrolment nearing 950 students, 95% of students come from language backgrounds other than English. The most prevalent language group is Arabic, with Chinese being the next significant group.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach infants (K-2) and/or primary (K-6) with demonstrated experience teaching students who have English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).
- Proven capacity to develop and deliver high quality, evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs to improve student outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a positive classroom learning environment and implement effective and proactive wellbeing practices to strengthen the engagement and wellbeing of all students.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated capacity to build authentic and productive relationships with students, staff and families.
