Associate Energy Market Analyst

We are looking for an Associate Energy Market Analyst to join our team to support our existing power modelling and data team. This role requires a creative person with attention to detail. Basic understanding of energy markets and market fundamentals is a plus.
**Key Stakeholder Relationships
This position works closely and collaborates with all Energy Exemplar staff.
**Key Accountabilities and Duties
- Support the analyst team with detailed market analyses and data research
- Gather information about regional markets, regulation, and market fundamentals
- Comparing model results, reviewing preliminary forecast output results for inconsistencies
- Learning and running PLEXOS to interpret output model results and energy balances
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:
- Excellent academic record and independent, precise and reliable working style
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Basic knowledge of Asian energy markets with emphasis on energy generation (preferred)
