**The Opportunity**

Based in Repurpose It's Environmental and Sustainability team, the position of Environment and Sustainability Advisor is primarily responsible for developing and implementing environmental and sustainability strategies for the organisation whilst managing all processes assosciated with the Environmental Management System in support of accreditation to ISO standards.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Engaging with key stakeholders and assisting with regulatory approvals where required;
- Fostering and strengthening existing client relationships and establishing new clients;
- Identification of key environmental risk and sustainability best practice opportunities;
- Contributing to the preparation project briefs for new resource recovery projects.
- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operational matters including material tracking, compliance testing and monitoring, data review, review of waste classification/ incoming material support documents, communication updates to operational managers & testing and management of other site activities as required to ensure compliance with license requirements.
- Implementing and supporting Research & Development initiative projects and trials.
- Identifying improvement opportunities for Repurpose It to provide market solutions for our clients.
- Assisting with the current environmental management and sustainability projects and provide support in delivering these from concept to ready for operational handover.

**About you**

You will have demonstrated experience working in a similar position where you have been responsible for supporting environmental-related compliance work with under EPA regulations and guidelines as well as experience with ISO accreditation and sustainability. Your ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders will see you succeed in this role.

**You will need**:

- Degree in Environmental Enginering or Environmental Science
- Victorian drivers license as travel between Epping, Hallam and Montrose sites is required
- Right to work in Australia
- Police check (to be completed during recruitment process)
