**The opportunityAs our Principal Project Officer (Identified)**: - work collaboratively with internal and external partners to advocate for, and drive, the success of key First Nations initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- manage complex workloads to meet deadlines and commitments in tight timeframes
- develop and/or contribute to written correspondence, such as briefing notes and submissions relevant to your role
This role is part of a team of five who may work in varied locations across the state.Entitlements will vary based on your location and you may be entitled to the following: - Locality allowance
- 5 weeks recreation leave
What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)There are some attributes and experience we see as desirable to this role: - knowledge and understanding of the impacts of colonisation of Queensland's first peoples and how that has led to current issues relating to Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people
- knowledge and experience in developing and implementing Cultural Capability program/s, Reframing the Relationship plans, recruitment and retention strategies or other strategies on First Nations matters that created organisational change
- analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate this into practical advice and action
- the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence change, and deliver outcomes, especially when faced with obstacles
