**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Associate Director, Marketing and Recruitment to join Marketing and Communication, Chancellery Division.

The Marketing and Communication Department is seeking an outstanding marketing and recruitment strategist with a track record of innovative student recruitment practice. An ability to build collaborative partnerships, plus proven skills in leading teams to achieve strategic objectives will ensure success in the role. This position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Communication for supervision, workload management and for Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

The Marketing and Communication Department is responsible for:

- building and protecting QUT’s brand and reputation
- engaging and recruiting future students
- ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional standard.

As well as professional services provided to the university community, the Department is responsible for a variety of corporate communication functions and oversees relevant policies, protocols and governance arrangements.

**What you need to succeed**

This role will suit those who have exceptional relationship management and highly developed interpersonal skills to build and foster connections within QUT and with the wider community.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training and experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience in marketing and recruitment.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence, collaborate and generate support for initiatives.
- Significant experience in leading marketing and student recruitment initiatives in the higher education sector to meet strategic objectives and priorities.
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams, driving a high-performance service culture to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong understanding of and ability to interpret and respond to trends and issues in marketing and recruitment within the higher education sector.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to think creatively and strategically.
