We’re looking for highly energetic and passionate Senior professional with a deep understanding of the businesses, their drivers, and opportunities for growth.

As the Head of Finance, Enterprise & Financial Crime Operations, you will be partnering into the largest Operations teams in NAB. Leading a team of 9 direct reports, this organisational unit will cover both end-to-end accountability for Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and FTEs in accordance with NAB accounting policy, as well as ensuring financial performance is optimised across run and change for Enterprise Operations and Financial Crime Operations.

**Your key accountabilities will include**:

- Ensuring drivers of financial performance vs budget and prior periods are clear, generating choices to close gaps to target financial performance.
- Add value to the divisions through balancing a strategic long-term approach to cost management and performance management of in-year targets, drive value through foresight and insight through critical review & analysis of internal and external factors.
- Ensure financial results monthly are correct in accordance with NAB’s Accounting policies, and proactively provide appropriate analytics to drive the right actions in the business.
- Communicate result narratives effectively for internal and external audiences.
- Effectively manage the internal and external reporting requirements for Expenses and Investments.
- Leaders at all levels will be expected to ensure their teams are clear, capable, and motivated:

- Clear about purpose, values, goals and plans, expectations and processes, and the boundaries of ethical decision making.
- Capable with the right talent, time, tools, and skills, with leaders expected to manage resources effectively and coach teams to build competence and confidence.
- Motivated by leaders who build trust, inclusive teams and a psychologically safe environment, track results, and provide clear follow-up and feedback.

**Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include**:

- Ability to navigate through complex cross enterprise matters and operating environment.
- Strong strategic focus and be able to communicate with influence.
- Profound experience in Senior Leadership positions in the banking and finance industry.
- The ability to form hypotheses around different strategic choices that could be made across T&EO and broader NAB to improve performance.
- Capability to then test and refine hypotheses and then drive out those that warrant action into execution through influencing senior stakeholders.
- Capable with the right talent, time, tools, and skills to do their work, with leaders expected to manage resources (people, budgets, assets, and time) effectively and coach teams to build competence and confidence.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant tertiary and post-graduate qualifications required.
- Substantial years’ experience in senior Finance roles, including roles in commercial business partnering, budgeting, and reporting, and financial control roles.
- Experience in Operations is essential.
