**About the Role**

As part of NAB's ongoing commitment to regulatory compliance, a Centre of Excellence is being established to help the Ubank business meet it's AML/CTF and broader financial crime obligations. This includes centralisation of capabilities for Know Your Customer (KYC) - Customer Onboarding, KYC Refresh, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring and Fraud Prevention.

As the Head of Financial Crime Operations, you will be responsible for leading a team focussed on supporting the business to understand and meet all financial crime policy, standards and processes. This role will see you play a key part in the success of delivering the strategic ambition for Financial Crime Operations for UBank and lead your team to success.

**What you'll be doing**
- Support the UBank Leadership Team and businesses to:

- Meet the operationalisation of the financial crime program, standards and processes to manage the associated risks and obligations
- Establish a strong Financial Crime capability that is customer centric with in a digital bank
- Be a centre of operational excellence for relation to Financial Crime Management
- Identify and design process and control improvements to sustainably manage Financial Crime Operations
- Delivering the program for the financial for Ubank
- Leadership across multiple financial crime operations teams
- Management of operational queues within SLA’s and reporting through to KRI’s
- Working with the Ubank Financial Crime Management team to align business out comes with the wider business.
- Continuous implement and business enhancement of the business risk environment
- Implementation of the financial crime operations program
- Reporting of key deliverables and issues identified to key stakeholders

**What you'll bring**
- 5 years of leadership experience across financial crime programs or operations teams at an executive level
- 15 years people leadership experience in an operational environment
- Experience in Banking and Financial services in a digital bank
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar senior leadership role in Financial Crime
- Exceptional people leadership experience
- Demonstrated capability to engage and communicate with influence
- Practical approach to solving issues with strong commercial acumen
- Strong product and process knowledge coupled with solid project management skills
- Business, finance, project or general management tertiary qualification preferred
- A growth mindsetsomeone who is willing to see what’s always been done (whether that’s at UBank or the industry) and find ways to significantly improve it
- AFMA, ACAMS or Financial Crime relevant qualifications will be highly regarded
