We currently have a vacancy at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home for a **Laundry Assistant** to work shifts on **permanent part time basis** offering **21 hours per week.**
- **Monday & Tuesday - 9:00 am to 1:30 pm**:

- **Wednesday to Friday - 8:00 am to Midday**

Bethanie Como is a 99 bed suite home that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.

**Key Responsibilities -** **Laundry Assistant**
- Ensuring all personal laundry and linen is laundered correctly and relevant infection control practices are adhered to
- Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
- Loading and unloading washing machine and tumble dryers
- Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement as required
- Placing clean linen into trolleys for delivery

**Requirements**:

- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Laundry Assistant _desirable_ in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate both orally and written
- A current police clearance or willingness to get one
- Willingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations required
