**The role**:
You will lead the Medfin Collections team coordinating in-house debt management and collection of over limit and out of order accounts. Supporting Collections Associates with credit knowledge and constructively authoring recommendations.

You will have the opportunity to lead the debt management strategic direction for the business through the implementation of product policies, strategies and procedures.

Develop relationships both internally and externally with a focus on building the brand reputation of Medfin and NAB.

You will proactively manage risk to ensure required compliance and operational risk standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.

**The role and Day to day will include**:

- Oversee the team’s management of categorised files and provide recommendations to appropriate DCA holder
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts which includes proactively working with customers, and where appropriate implementing the recovery strategy (which may include legal recovery through Medfin’s legal service provider)
- Actively work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for the Bank
- Ensure all Debt Management obligations are adhered to through a robust control environment, including adherence to internal and external turn-around times.
- Assist with authoring/updating process documents

**What you will bring**:

- Significant experience with managing delinquent accounts preferably associated with commercial loans
- Experience and sound understanding of the legal recovery process (enforcement)
- Exposure to categorised files business credit and/or business lending preferred
- Expertise with insolvency related matters and debt management guidelines
- Ability to analyse complex and detailed financial and non-financial information
- Sound understanding of risk obligations and knowledge of how to replicate compliance
- Experience and understanding of hardship processes, including regulatory requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and people skills with an ability to engage stakeholders and empathise with customers
