Due to continued Portfolio growth, Infinity Constructions Group are seeking a capable experienced Assistant OHS Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

**Who Are We Looking For?**:
Infinity is seeking a highly experienced Assistant WHS Manager who will work closely with Site Managers to provide OHS support and advise and implement the corporate OHS policies, site OHS management plan and administer the site based OHS system to meet their ongoing occupational health and safety responsibilities.
We are ISO and OFSC accredited.
You will report to the HSEQ Systems Manager and work collaboratively with the project team and other associated partners.
We require an individual who has well developed communication skills, along with the ability to lead and motivate site teams.

**Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)**:
- To build, continuously improve and provide independent oversight and advice on risk management.
- Conducting OHS system audits as allocated and scheduled by the HSEQ Systems Manager to ensure compliance to OHS system and policies.
- Maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with Infinity’s OHS policies and procedures, and actively participating in the rehabilitation of staff injured at work.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach to own working practices and ensure this is reflected in all areas of service delivery.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the organisation’s H&S systems.
- Monitoring and assessing health and safety strategies in accordance with legislative and standards changes.
- Assisting Project Managers and Site Managers to implement new initiatives.
- Developing training programs on health and safety issues including hazard management accident investigation, manual handling and fire safety in liaison with the HSEQ Systems Manager and HR Manager.
- Investigate serious accidents and report to HSEQ Systems Manager and GM.
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor SWMS for HRCW.
- Research emerging technologies and trial and determine best OHS technological solutions.
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety preferred or Minimum Certificate IV in OHS/WHS
- Full driving license
- OHS Auditor qualifications an advantage
- Proficient in Hammertech
- 5 + years proven experience in a similar role within a commercial scale construction environment.
- 5 + years’ experience in the construction industry
- 5 + years’ experience in health and safety management system development, review and implementation.
- 5 + years’ experience in conducting health and safety audits and corrective actions.
