Procurement Partner- Technology

The Procurement Partner
- Technology will support CIO, their direct reports, and the Associate Director, Strategic Procurement by providing strategic procurement advice and category management leadership across QUT’s ICT / Technology spend.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Provide functional leadership of the end-to-end procurement process across QUT’s Technology categories of spend.
- Develop and implement category and procurement strategies to ensure they meet the needs of the users, increase capability and promote good procurement practice.
- Review category and sub-category spend in partnership with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders across QUT.
- Minimise total cost for the assigned category by reviewing developments in supply markets, usage, legislation and demand and implement any improvements that may be appropriate.

**To be successful you will have;**
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in procurement and sourcing or a related business or law discipline with extensive relevant experience in procurement and sourcing
- Relevant experience at a senior level in procurement category management, including experience across one or more of technology categories.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence across multiple business areas to develop and deliver category strategies and outcomes to meet the constantly evolving needs of the university.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills,
- Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service and quality.
- Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
