Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Procurement Partner (Facilities Management) to join Finance Business Solutions, Chancellery Division.

QUT is seeking a Procurement Partner to provide strategic procurement expertise and category management leadership, primarily supporting Facilities Management and Campus Services. This role will drive value through supply market development, strategic planning and execution, and performance and risk management across a diverse range of procurement activities including operations, maintenance, fleet, construction, security, and retail services. Embedded within the Facilities Management and Campus Services team, the Procurement Partner will deliver agile, responsive support aligned with evolving business needs. While reporting to the Manager, Strategic Procurement for oversight and performance review, the role will also take operational direction from senior leaders within Facilities Management and Campus Services.

What you need to succeed

  1. Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience, or extensive senior management experience with progress towards a postgraduate qualification in procurement or a related business or law discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  2. Extensive relevant experience at a senior level in procurement category management, including experience across one or more of the Facilities Management categories (including operations, maintenance, fleet, minor and major works, security and property & Retail).
  3. Demonstrated high level of business acumen and leadership with proven results in a complex Facilities Management environment.
  4. Demonstrated ability to engage and influence across multiple business areas to develop and deliver category strategies and outcomes to meet the constantly evolving needs of the university.
  5. Proven track record of utilising data analytics to assess return on investment and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including demonstrated ability to manage constructive and collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders and provide authoritative, well researched advice with an ability to confidently articulate complex issues in a succinct manner.
