**What the day will look like**
- Assess and underwrite hospitality liability risks in accordance within a binder agreement/underwriting guidelines
- Manage and develop strong relationships with brokers, clients and colleagues
- Underwriting and managing the renewal and new business process including referrals as required
- Maintain renewal and new business strike rate registers
- Analyse basic underwriting data and create reports as required by the team
- Processing of new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Debtor management
- Manage claims history requests and renewal process
- Provide training, coaching and mentorship to junior members of the team
- Identify potential risks and recommend solutions to mitigate them
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the liability insurance market in Australia

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

We are looking for someone with a foundation of general insurance experience in a broking / underwriting / similar position. You will also have.
- Experience in property/liability underwriting
- Good technical knowledge of property/liability insurance and related regulations in Australia
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management
- Ability to identify potential risks and recommend solutions to mitigate them
- Sense of entrepreneurship and drive to succeed
