**The Department**

Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. **The Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics (CCRET) **undertakes a broad range of clinical and applied research, from clinical trials to health services research, predominantly in cardiovascular and related diseases. It houses major clinical registries in cardiovascular diseases, which not only support research but also inform the quality and safety of clinical care. The Centre is highly collaborative, and most of its projects involve multiple research and clinical partners.

**The Role**

They will assist with the co-ordination and conduct of Associate Professor Dion Stub’s cardiovascular clinical trials’ activity. Trials into cardiac arrest, shock, myocardial infarction, and structural heart disease.

**Skills/Experience**

**Essential**
- Bachelor’s degree - in a clinically relevant field
- Masters level preferred
- Extensive experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, ethics submissions
- Experience working in the human clinical trial environment
- Experience liaising with participants/patients and health care professionals.
- High level organisational skills with demonstrated capacity to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly with skills in research software
- Experience in data collection and data entry
- Excellent patient and family rapport

**Desirable**
- Experience in using MS Excel, Qualtrics, statistical software packages, REDCap, EndNote
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
