**The Department**

**Centre for Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics** **(CCRET),** **Pharmacoepidemiology and Real-World Evidence Research Unit**. CCRET is a research centre undertaking a broad range of clinical and applied research, from clinical trials to health services research, predominantly in cardiovascular and related diseases. Major clinical registries housed within the CCRET support cardiovascular research and inform the quality and safety of clinical care. Pharmacoepidemiology and Real-World Evidence is a newly established research unit within the CCRET and it is a bridge discipline spanning both clinical pharmacology and epidemiology focusing on investigating real-world medication’s effectiveness, as well as prescribing and compliance patterns of medications used for the treatment of chronic conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes.

**The Role**

The Research Officer will operate with a focus on excellence in process and judgment and provision of sound and timely advice and support to researchers, participants and other stakeholders involved in research program.

**Skills**
- Experience in advanced epidemiological data analysis using STATA or R
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated project administration skills with the ability to support research projects accordance with agreed standards and timeframes
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as independently under general supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and an understanding of confidentiality, privacy and information handling principles
- Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to draft a range of documentation
- A high level of computer literacy, including demonstrated experience in learning and adopting new software packages as required
- Clinical knowledge and clinical expertise desirable
