Reporting to the Configuration Change Lead, the Configuration Change Officer operates within ASC’s Engineering Services Department. They are accountable for processing Configuration Management (CM) activities within systems and conducting audits to manage the configuration management baseline.

**_ This role is a permanent full-time position, based in Henderson, WA._**

**Responsibilities**
- Review documentation within a technical environment to determine implementation and status of engineering changes on the submarines.
- Review and confirmation of changes performed which requires data entry across a number of software programs ensuring integrity and accuracy.
- Physical audits require you to utilise documentation while physically going on board the submarine and accessing all areas to validate all identified changes including confined spaces.
- Analysis and identification of anomalies and ability to read and understand documentation relating to engineering change activities.
- Conduct tasks directed by the Configuration Change Lead to meet schedule deadlines.
- Report and communicate status of Configuration Management tasks with projected view for management.
- Escalate any issues, problems or challenges through the hierarchy chain - offering solutions where possible.

**About you**
- Experience in a Configuration Management environment (desired, not essential).
- Experience in a technical environment or trade (desired, not essential).
- Transferable skills in working environments with change management, mechanical and/or electrical or similar.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical skills through accurate and focused work ethic.
- Undertake tasks accordingly with a high standard of personal organisation and departmental goals.
- Understanding of management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritising and process execution.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office and general technology proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customer.

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
