**Cyber Security Officer, Ongoing, Sydney**

This role is a salary Grade 07/08, with the base salary for this role starting at $113,574 - $125,720 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join us as the Cyber Security Officer who is responsible for performing a range of cyber activities including monitoring of compliance with the NSW Government Cyber Security policies and procedures.

The role is responsible for working with a number of stakeholders to coordinate and provide support to assure risks are identified, assessed and mitigated by the security controls and manage security related incidents with the Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to monitor the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) with the NSW Government Cyber Security policies and procedures.
- Manage security vulnerabilities with key stakeholders, including the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to prevent cyber incidents.
- Monitor security access through assessing metrics and data to identify unauthorised activity and prevent breaches occurring.
- Collate information for cyber reporting to NSW Government, audits and committees including reviewing of cyber security policies and procedures.

**About You**

You will have Tertiary qualification in an ICT and/or Cyber Security discipline or equivalent experience with an understanding of security framework and standards, including ISO 27001 and Essential 8.

You will also possess broad technical knowledge of cyber security risks of various technologies e.g. Windows, Networking, Firewalls, Cloud and have experience participating in either incident response, penetration testing, vulnerability management.
