**The Role**:
Our client, a large state government department, is seeking a Product Manager, EDM to manage the departments EDM function, including multiple newsletters and distribution lists, to ensure effective day-to-day operation as channels for effective communications strategies.

The role works closely with other teams in the Division, managing build and distribution schedules to support the implementation of communication plans and campaigns.

**VPS5 Equivalent | Three month contract | Immediate start**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee Department eDM / direct sends, ensuring they are aligned to styles and standards
- Use exceptional digital communication skills and evidence of user needs to drive engagement through the Department's channels
- Lead review, research and planning activities for the iterative improvement of digital products
- Provide employees with the leadership, information and guidance required to achieve outcomes and to ensure that these meet compliance requirements
- Clarify priorities and delegate activities to maximise team productivity and achieve quality outcomes
- Manage eNewsletter and eDM styles and standards
- Build understanding and skills through activities such as training and presenting to others, including to the Department agencies
- Prepare guidelines for the development and use of digital channels to support strategic communication activities
- Provide advice and leadership across a range of Division activities, projects and campaigns to ensure a coordinated approach to digital communication and channels
- Develop collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues and partners to deliver on communication objectives and priorities
- Negotiate communication outcomes to balance stakeholder needs with Department outcomes

**About You**:

- Able to run and maintain products effectively through all stages of their lifecycle
- Confident using a range of metrics, analytics and research to understand product performance and develop plans for improvement
- Manages digital products effectively using strong knowledge of usability, accessibility, distribution lists management, audience targeting, metadata, HTML
- Experienced working with complex stakeholders and approvals processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coach a team to success, aligned woith the organisational values amd goals
- Well developed stakeholder management skills, with an ability top influeance and negotiate at a high level
- Actively seeks to improve others' skills and talents by providing constructive feedback, coaching and training opportunities
- Appropriately delegates responsibilities to further the development of others
- Empowers others by investing them with the authority and latitude to accomplish tasks
