**Introduction**:
The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.

On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.

Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.

The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
Roles and Responsibilities

Training (preseason and in-season)

The duties are as follows.

Equipment set up and breakdown prior to and following training (set up and cleaning of water bottles, strapping areas etc).
Assist with player preparation (strapping/massage/blister care etc).
On-field triage First Aid and hydration.

AFL Home matches

Equipment set up and breakdown prior to and following training (set up and cleaning of water bottles, strapping areas etc).
Assist with player preparation (strapping/massage/blister care etc).
On-field triage First Aid and hydration.
Postgame pack up, help pack bench/wash bottles and tubs.
Help with post game acute care/ recovery massage.
Assist with property pack up and load into van.

AFL Away Matches

Assist with player preparation (strapping/massage/blister care etc) prior to Captain’s Run.
Massage the night before game.
Help unload property van and help set up dressing room/sideline for game.

Post NEAFL game pack up, help pack bench/wash bottles and tubs.
Help with post game acute care/recovery massage.
Help pack up property van.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Knowledge

SMA Level 1 Sports Trainer Certification is required.
Positive attitude to achieve in potentially difficult circumstances.
Excellent communication skills with both players and staff.
Qualification in sports massage therapy will be highly desirable.

Comfortable to be a team player and work autonomously, going above and beyond to achieve the desired results.

Professional, helpful, and efficient manner
Understanding of AFL is ideal, but not essential.
