**About the Role**

As the Digital Program Manager you will lead and manage a team of Project Managers and engage with stakeholders across the business to deliver our Digital program of work outcomes and business benefits. You will focus on and lead a larger program of work including a mix of in-flight and incoming projects. You will facilitate communication amongst a program's cross-function team and identify potential risks, assess impact, develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk through the program lifecycle.

Key responsibilities of the role will include
- Planning
- Be accountable for the planning of the Digital program of work and lead the initiation of new initiatives and projects.Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure projects in the Digital program are identified, well understood, appropriately scoped, risk assessed, cost estimated and planned in a way that will achieve results and subsequent realisation of expected benefits.
- Work collaboratively with the Discovery PMO to ensure that all pre-requisite tasks are undertaken prior to inclusion and implementation of a new project in the Digital program.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure future work is identified and understood to enable appropriate and adequate resource availability.
- Be responsible for planning the pipeline of work directed by the priorities of the business, identifying utilisation gaps, resourcing conflicts and shortfalls.
- Align projects with broader strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities for scoping and delivery improvement to support a practice of continuous improvement.
- Develop a skill matrix model to support and inform best practice planning for the efficient utilisation and allocation of work to appropriately skilled team members.
- Identify skill gaps against schedules to ensure projects in the Digital program are well planned and resourcing capability shortfalls are identification early.

Delivery
- Manage the delivery of the program of work on time, on budget and of an acceptable quality ensuring outcomes are fit for purpose and enable realisation of expected benefits.
- Resolve conflicts between projects competing for the same resources, ensuring critical initiatives receive adequate support while optimizing resource utilization across the program.
- Build and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders and vendors to enable resolution and/or mitigation of risks and issues relating to successful implementation of the Digital program.
- Provide an escalation point and lead the resolution and/or mitigation of risks and issues that cannot be addressed within a project.
- Provide coordination of the projects and their interdependencies within the Digital program and other programs of work/balancing competing demands.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date information which to provide accurate, timely program status and performance reports with content/narrative and measures presented, summarised at the appropriate level for the target audience.

Governance & Assurance
- Complete and direct all tasks in line with DHP project management methodologies, IT methodologies and DHP policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the PMO to perform audit and assurance checks of the program of work ensuring standards are being complied with.
- Drive project key performance baselines, ensuring delivery within agreed tolerances.
- Lead the Digital program reporting, Including developing dashboards and program artifacts on a fortnightly cycle.
- Participate and lead steering committee meetings, ensuring reporting content is at an appropriate level and quality to facilitate decision making

Continuous Improvement
- Achieve improvements which enhance the overall performance of the Digital program and DHP as a whole.
- Identify and lead the implementation of improvements across DHP for the process and work practices associated with the Digital program; that ultimately improve the effectiveness of DHP in delivering technology enabled initiatives.
