If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a **Principal Structural Designer **to join our Engineering team located in Perth, Western Australia on a permanent basis.

**About the Role**

As a Principal Structural Designer, you have the opportunity to work on various high profile onshore/offshore projects. In this role, you will be engaged in design and drafting of various structures as well as managing the work-load distribution, training and trouble shoot of the design team. The projects range from new developments (Greenfield) to the modifications of existing live assets (Brownfield); e.g., design for new hydrogen developments and Prelude FLNG.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing hands on structural modeling, drafting of mainly steel structures, and preparing engineering drawings.
- Interfacing with other engineering disciplines and client as required and working closely with structural engineers and designers to deliver engineering drawings.
- Leading and mentoring structural designers and distribute the workload within the team of designers.
- Developing and maintaining a schedule and deliver the scope on time and on budget.
- Reporting project’s design delivery progress to the project lead engineer. Assist Discipline Lead in development of Discipline Technical Notes and Guidelines.

**About you**

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements
- Minimum 20 years of experience in structural design of onshore/offshore structures, including experience with brownfields modifications
- Experience in leading a team of designers.
- Expert in structural design
- Essential software experience: AVEVA PDMS and E3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
- Preferred software experience: Tekla, S3D, MicroStation.
