**The Role**
Airborne Surveillance Control and Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, performs sustainment, and major capability upgrades for the Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine systems.
As the APS 6 Export Control Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Management and coordination of International Export Controls and Foreign Release of Information framework
- Management of technical data, intellectual property and export controlled information
- Advice to stakeholders on legislation and International Export Control policies to ensure compliance.
- Maintain required administration tools to support the decisions and operational requirements of ASCISPO export control and Foreign release of information activities
- Providing Commercial support and advice on ASCISPO contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and maintain operational effectiveness.
The role will require a Negative 1 Security Clearance with the potential to upgrade to Negative 2 depending on future workloads.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. Defence provides relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate. The level of assistance will vary depending on the reason for relocating and your personal circumstances.
- An ability to interpret and provide advice on legislation, policy and procedures relating to the contract management function.
- An understanding of International Export Controls and/or Foreign Release of Information frameworks would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to meet desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and develop the required knowledge and experience to perform in the role.
