With a strong focus on meaningful work and an inclusive workforce, this American corporation is a leading supplier of axles, brake and safety systems, suspensions and trailers; engineering products for Daimler, Volvo and Navistar. Now, they are hiring a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their ever-expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.

**Your new role**

As an Operations Manager in this business, you will take responsibility for providing manufacturing leadership with a strong focus on continuous improvement through driving results, providing motivation, setting expectations in safety and quality and overall ensuring a positive work place for employees.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director who is based overseas, this is quite an autonomous role which requires a real leader to provide motivation to a team of around 50+ staff.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Effective management of the Operations team to ensure that customer needs are met and personally leading change to improve organisational effectiveness
- Recognising areas in which a process can be improved by properly implementing process improvement and waste reduction methodologies to reduce process cost and improve quality
- Contributing to the establishment of an annual budget and financial targets for the business including monitoring departmental financial performance in line with approved budgets
- Being aware of environmental legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions

**What you'll need to succeed**

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

- 10+ years as a top lean manufacturing leader at a manufacturing company
- A good business knowledge of operational management in product engineering, manufacturing capabilities, processes, inventory and supply chain
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing, 6-sigma, Project Management etc.,
- Excellent written & oral skills
- Commitment to leading by example and getting the best out of the team
