Smile Solutions, "Melbourne's Home of Dentistry", is located in the magnificent Manchester Unity Building in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. We occupy six levels, plus the tower, all of which are of great significance within the art deco movement and Australia's national architectural heritage.
We are a multidisciplinary practice, home to over 80 practitioners, 14 of which are board registered specialists in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics. A pivotal part of our team is our internal Laboratory. The Lab is driven by the imperative to ensure quality and cost effective services are provided to our patients by providing first class and appropriately individualised outcomes.
**The Opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity is available to join our successful dental practice Smile Solutions as our in-house Dental Laboratory Specialist on a full time basis located in heart of Melbourne.
This unique position will work closely with our new and existing team of Senior Dental Clinicians and Dental Specialists. Specifically, your position will focus on close integration with experienced clinicians in the area of prosthodontics, oral surgery, and periodontics. Your role will be to primarily champion the laboratory component of our successful ‘Teeth in Three days’ program, by contributing to expert laboratory work for our growing patient base.
**About you**:
- Considerable experience with implant-retained prostheses, extending from single crowns to full arch bridges
- Expert knowledge and experience with CAD-CAM design, specifically in the fixed prostheses space
- Experience in the fabrication of orthodontic appliances is also desirable
- You will have an understanding of good infection control
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Considerable knowledge of anatomy
- You have a high level of initiative and motivation
- You are a driven individual who likes to learn and flourish
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a dental laboratory
Remuneration is negotiable and is based on experience within the industry. This position holds the opportunity for future growth and professional development.
**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
