**About the role**:
Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in driving a strong and sustainable safety culture across Wire operations. As Safety Partner, you will coach and support the line leaders of our Newcastle & Geelong sites, focusing on achieving an injury-free workplace.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate incident investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments
- Advise and support line leaders to ensure the effective implementation and communication of the InfraBuild health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures
- Support leaders to effectively manage incidents, investigations, and injuries, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions
- Conduct verification activities of business processes that are associated with high-risk activities
- Support the implementation of new health and safety initiatives
- Train stakeholders in safety systems and processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement in health and safety performance and respond to incident trends
Please note that this role includes regular travel to our Geelong site.
You also have:
- Diploma or Degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, OR Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety if supported by strong practical experience
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training is highly desirable
- Experience in a safety advisory or business partnering role within heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, or similar high-risk environment
- Demonstrated experience coaching and developing line leaders in WHS capability
- Proven track record in risk management, incident investigation, and corrective action management
- Experience using safety management software (e.g. Cority or similar systems)
- Driver’s licence and your own vehicle
