**The Role**

The Payroll Officer will coordinate the effective delivery of payroll processes across the business. The role will work with separate business units during the final implementation phase of a new payroll system GreenTree, before the payroll function is centralised across the business as a whole.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the end-to-end processing of payroll for all business units in Pacific Energy.
- Ensure pay runs are calculated in accordance with relevant awards/Enterprise Agreement rates, allowances and higher duties changes and other relevant information.
- Investigate complex pay anomalies, undertake calculations for special work arrangements and business requirements, ensuring appropriate tax treatment is applied, and develop solutions to meet business needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax, superannuation and PAYG compliance and payments.
- Consult with business leaders and relevant HR Business Partners on rostering and workforce management practices to deliver solutions that drive efficiencies and improves workforce management.
- Assisting with workers compensation declarations and claim processing
- Support with the monthly reporting

**About You**
- Qualifications in Human Resource Management or Payroll Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Payroll experience within a medium sized organisation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focus, ability to resolve issues and foster collaboration and cooperation.
