An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Network Specialist to join the Satellite Operations Team.

**The opportunity**:
As network Specialist, you will provide High level technical support in the implementation, maintenance and operation of Telstra’s Networks, Infrastructure, products and customer services for a wide range of transmission, data and IP backbone platforms that support Telstra’s Satellites. You will participate in a rotating call out roster where you will work with satellite technology which includes modems, high powered amplifiers, converters and various satellite RF equipment.

**Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide High level technical support in the implementation, maintenance and operation of Telstra’s Networks, Infrastructure, products and customer services for Satellite, Transmission, Voice and IP platforms
- Use domain knowledge and analytical thinking to provide support in investigation of complex incidents
- Operate within standard practices and procedures, with support / direction from more experienced team members / leaders to meet business KPIs
- Establish and Maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders
- Maintain efficient Operation and Maintenance of all Network elements including their associated environmental systems and cabling
- Be on call and available to perform level 1 & 2 support of Telstra’s Networks, Infrastructure, products and customer services
- Actively contribute /provide specialist technical advice, expertise and system and process support to the delivery of outcomes within the team / mission.
- Take ownership of own work / activities within a particular mission / project
- Contributes and identifies innovation opportunities to address barriers to the achievement of team / project / mission and /or individual outcomes

**Enough about us, let's talk about you. To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following**:

- Strong Knowledge of Telecoms networks and supplier capabilities
- Experienced in cabling standards and practice and Telecom transmission testing.
- Strong Satellite and/or Field Services Experience
- Ability to multi-task different projects and be a self-starter.
- Good understanding of IT systems.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving & data analytics skills
