About the role and team
Our Clinical Services team at Port Phillip Prison is seeking an experienced Clinician to assist with offending behaviour assessments, interventions, and programs for prisoners.
Working on programs to reduce violent offending behaviour, you'll support a diverse cohort with complex mental health, addiction, offence history, and young adult needs, to obtain the best outcomes for service users in our care..
- Screening and assessing prisoners' suitability for offending behaviour programs.
- Delivering a range of programs and interventions, both individually and in group settings, and providing program assessment, treatment, and evaluation reports to key stakeholders.
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, including Corrections Victoria, DFFH, NDIS, Forensicare and St Vincent's Correctional Health.

What we are looking for
- Registration as a Psychologist/Provisional (AHPRA), Occupational Therapist, Social Worker (AASW) or Mental Health Nurse
- The ability to successfully engage with and assess people from diverse backgrounds, including those from high-risk groups and in particular, people presenting with challenging and complex backgrounds and behaviours
- Experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) desirable
