**The Position**:
If you are a psychiatrist seeking a leadership position, we have the role for you. Working at a major tertiary teaching hospital in Melbourne’s inner southeast you will join a likeminded team of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and peer workers, to shape and transform the Adult & Older Adult Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.
The newly established service combines Adult Community and Aged Psychiatry services across two locations to ensure that people aged over 25 years will be able to access a broad range of clinical and wellbeing services including psychological trauma, forensic mental health, family violence and recovery.
As the Director, you will report to the Program (Clinical) Director. You will work in collaboration with the Deputy Director of Operations, (Adult & Older Adult) and allied health and lived experience leaders to deliver safe, effective, and appropriate services to adults and older adults receiving care in community, adult residential and aged acute settings. The medical service heads of four streams - Navigations & Continuing Care, Rehabilitation & Recovery, Addiction Health, and Aged Psychiatry
- will report directly to you.
**The Hospital**:
You will join a dynamic mental health service in Melbourne’s inner suburbs to work in partnership with its consumers, carers, and community. The service is known for its strong medical leadership, clinical excellence, innovation and postgraduate training and research. The program is delivered across two sites in Melbourne’s inner southeast.
