Government agency looking for a Value for Money Assessor to assist with capital works projects.

**Your new company**

Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Value for Money Assessor to their team to help with their various and ongoing capital works projects.

**Your new role**

As the Value for Money Assessor, you will be responsible for providing support to the Senior Project Manager in Home Assessments to ensure the delivery of home assessment activities is accounted for, including client communications, the completing of home assessments to flood victims, and providing suggested floor resilience improvement options to homeowners. You will maintain a close liaison with program stakeholders to ensure product and service delivery meet agreed outcomes.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of project delivery, home assessments and estimating. Therefore, you will ideally have a project management background and experience in working as an assessor or estimator. You will understand the legislation, policies, procedures and standards involved in your field. You will also need to be able communicate well with all employees and stakeholders within a project. Your qualifications will include a construction white card and Australian open license.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3-month contracted role with a government agency with the possibility of an extension, located in Cannon Hill. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an hourly rate of $59.96 + super.
