Government agency looking for a Planning & Program Officer to assist with capital works projects around SEQ.

**Your new company**
Our client is a business unit within the Queensland Government who work across a range of new build, maintenance, and capital works projects. Due to a peak in workload and a healthy project pipeline, they are looking to add a Planning & Program Officer to their Department to assist with their various building projects.

**Your new role**
As the Planning & Program Officer, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of require frameworks and procedures to ensure efficient and effective value for money is delivered for the department’s program. You will complete regular project reporting in accordance to budgets and targets, as well as keep up stakeholder communications to maintain and improve program delivery.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understand of program delivery in the construction and building sector. Therefore, you will ideally come from construction background, with experience in quantity surveying and construction estimating being highly desirable. You will be able to develop work plans, plan and allocate resources, and be able to work collaboratively with clients to ensure stakeholder satisfaction. Additionally, you will be able to identify and develop innovative and solutions to the department’s current program. A valid Class C driver’s license is also required for this role.

**What you'll get in return**
You will be offered an immediate start with an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an AO6/1 rate per hour + super. You will also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
