**Your opportunity
You will join an impactful Finance team that is well established and recognised by our internal stakeholders, and which is deeply committed to supporting our workforce.
In this position you will be assisting our current Payroll Team with the end-to-end processing of a large, multi-site and multi-award fortnightly payroll. You will be required to take the lead in this role at times when the current team is unavailable and is therefore a great opportunity for someone keen to expand their payroll and financial accounting experience.
We currently employ over 500 staff who are paid on a fortnightly basis and are a growing with services currently set up in QLD, NSW, and South Australia.
**Your key duties and responsibilities in this position will include**:
- Assist with timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll including salary packaging.
- Respond to staff payroll queries in a timely manner.
- Assist the Payroll Officer with preparing reports as required
- Participate in organisation-wide collaborative planning activities and other meetings
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes ensuring services meet professional and industry standards and project work as required Assist the broader finance team with tasks as required from time to time.
This is a full-time, ongoing role based in Spring Hill Brisbane CBD and would suit a recent graduate.
The base remuneration for this role is $63,000 to $67,000 per annum, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience, plus superannuation, leave loading, Long Service Leave via Qleave and 5 additional days of paid Wellbeing Leave.
You will also have the opportunity to take advantage of salary packaging to increase your take home pay.

To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance stream or other relevant qualification and or other combination of relevant experience and qualifications.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of your work.
- Confident and motivated to learn wage award interpretation, employment contracts, accounting standards and other relevant legislations.
- Keen interest in learning and processing payroll and financial accounting.
- Ability to deal with pressure and tight time frames whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Previous working experience in payroll and/or financial accounting
