The McDowall State School P&C Association OSHC is a busy service requiring energetic, passionate, and proactive educators to join our team.
- We currently are looking for casual educators with a minimum of three afternoons **including Wednesday afternoon** availability per week.

The successful applicants will be committed to creating a safe, welcoming, nurturing and enjoyable environment for primary school aged children. They will also implement activity programs that encourage and support positive outcomes for all children through effective engagement with 'My Time Our Place - MTOP' Framework for school-age care.

Your responsibilities include:

- Deliver the Before, After and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the Manager, Assistant Coordinators, Educational Leader, and Lead Educator
- Build a healthy relationship with children and their families
- Assist in delivering the service in accordance with appropriate policies and standards
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the OSHC Manager, Assistant Coordinators and Educational Leader

Your qualifications:

- Have completed or be studying a certificate, diploma or higher level qualification in a related qualification. Examples of the qualifications under our regulations are Children Services, Education Primary or Secondary Teaching, Psychology, Nursing, Medical, Fitness, Sport, Human/Community Services and some Arts - see ACECQA website for full list.
- Working knowledge of current child care legislation, including the MTOP framework, the National Quality Laws and Regulations will be highly regarded and previous experience working with children, preferably primary school-aged children, is not essential but will be highly regarded
- Hold First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications or willing to obtain

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday.
- Before School 6:30am to 8:30am. Shifts vary from 6:00am-9:15am
- After School 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Shifts vary from 1:30pm-6:45pm
- Vacation Care (School Holidays) 6:30am to 6:30pm. Shifts vary from 6:00am to 6:45pm.
- Casual employment available for Monday to Friday. Vacation care periods may have different shift requirements that can be negotiated.
- Successful applicants will be given after school care and vacation care shifts primarily. Before school care shifts will be given if desired/when available.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $23.61 - $37.04 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
