The McDowall State School P&C Association OSHC is a busy service requiring energetic, passionate, and proactive educators to join our team. We are currently looking for:
**Permanent Part Time Educators - **must be available every afternoon and three mornings as per hours outlined below. This position comes with 20 hours guaranteed each week, plus additional hours depending on availability and performance. Rates between $23.61 and $29.63 depending on qualifications and experience, with paid sick and annual leave as accrued.

**Casual Educators - **must be available for a minimum of three afternoons per week, however more availability is considered favourably. Rates between $29.51 and $37.04 depending on qualifications and experience.

**Your responsibilities include**:

- Deliver the Before, After and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the OSHC Manager, Assistant Coordinators, Educational Leader, and Lead Educator
- Build a healthy relationship with children and their families
- Assist in delivering the service in accordance with appropriate policies and standards
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all team members

**Your qualifications**:

- Have completed or be studying a certificate, diploma or higher level qualification in a related qualification. Examples of the qualifications under our regulations are Children Services, Education Primary or Secondary Teaching, Psychology, Nursing, Medical, Fitness, Sport, Human/Community Services and some Arts - see ACECQA website for full list.
- Working knowledge of current child care legislation, including the MTOP framework, the National Quality Laws and Regulations will be highly regarded and previous experience working with children, preferably primary school-aged children, is not essential but will be highly regarded
- Hold First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications or willing to obtain
- **Must already be vaccinated against COVID-19 due to current QLD legislation.**

**Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday.**
- Before School 6:30am to 8:30am. Shifts vary from 6:00am-9:15am
- After School 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Shifts vary from 1:30pm-6:45pm
- Vacation Care (School Holidays) 6:30am to 6:30pm. Shifts vary from 6:00am to 6:45pm.
- Employment available for Monday to Friday. Vacation care periods may have different shift requirements that can be negotiated.
- Successful applicants for the **casual** **position** will be given after school care and vacation care shifts primarily. Before school care shifts will be given when available.
- Successful applicants for the **permanent part time position **will be given two to three before school care shifts, ensuring a minimum of 20 hours, and Monday through Friday afternoon shifts. Vacation Care shifts will be prioritised for permanent employees, who will be given the option of four eight hour days with one day off, or six hour shifts daily.
