Because, for this vital role you'll be involved in all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel. In addition, you'll respond to guest needs and resolve any issues that may arise; supervise, direct and support Reception and Concierge during peak periods, and provide input for Front Office meetings. You'll also check billing instructions, monitor guest credit and will also be fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures. We’re looking for a passionate Duty Manager to work closely with our Operations Manager to lead the hotel's Front Office operations on shift. As the Duty Manager on shift, you’ll be the leader - managing guest experience, team performance and hotel operations. You’ll focus on ensuring our team deliver authentic, memorable experiences for our guests while supporting and developing the team to drive results. So what does the day-to-day look like? - Having authentic conversations with our guests to resolve their issues, queries or concerns - Overseeing the Hotel operations in the absence of Senior Management - Being the first point of contact for any critical emergency situations - Leading the team to deliver results that positively impact guest experience and overall Hotel performance - Focusing on team development to ensure our team are continuously learning and broadening their skills Our ideal candidates will have existing experience as a Duty Manager or Supervisor within the hotel industry with positive energy and passion for delivering great guest experiences. You'll be known for your ability to have genuine connections with guests and colleagues and work in a fast-paced environment. Great Duty Managers are excellent at prioritising workload - their own and the team's - making them great team players. Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication and organisational skills are a must. Working knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Opera will also benefit you.
