Sea Harvest Group, a leading seafood and marine products company, is seeking skilled Marine Fitters to join our Sea Harvest Australia team in **Fremantle, Western Australia**.

**Position Details**:

- ** Reports to**: Fitting Supervisor
- ** Visa Details**: 482 (4 year) visa (renewable or possible PR after 2 years)

**Position Summary**: Remove, strip, repair and install machinery and associated mechanical systems including but not limited to propeller shafts, pumps and engines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with PPE policies and safe working procedures.
- Participate in safety training and environmental risk assessment.
- Commit to sustainable use of natural resources.
- ** Production**:

- Understand drawings or specifications to determine methods and sequences of operations.
- Check prepared metal components for accuracy, using measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, dial gauges, thickness gauges.
- Lift and hoist components on to working surface, lay out and mark reference points and align parts using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Drill holes and tap threads for bolting parts together and assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
- Verify alignment of and clearances between components using measuring instruments.
- Shrink-fit parts during assembly using heating and cooling processes.
- Fit parts using mechanical processes, hydraulic press etc.
- To undertake all other tasks including multi-skilled operations within your capabilities as directed by your supervisor from time to time.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Fitting trade certificate.
- Minimum 3-5 years marine fitting experience.
- Minimum 4.5 result (IELTS) English Literacy Test
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
- Demonstrated marine fitting techniques.
- Welding certificate (preferred)

**Physical Requirements**:

- Able to lift 10-20 kilograms.
- Manoeuvre in confined spaces and work at heights.
- Work in hot and noisy environments.

**Hours of Duty**:

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am - 3:15 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am - 2:30 pm

This opportunity is open to **South Africans willing to relocate to Perth, Australia.** Sea Harvest Group covers all travel and relocation costs.

The Company will assist in sourcing suitable accommodation for the successful applicants. Associated costs however will be the responsibility of the applicant.
